Flower Child

Recently I watched the film Dazed and Confused, a coming of age comedy set in the 70's starring a young Ben Affleck, Matthew Mc Connaughey and Milla Jovovich (pictured above !) It was actually quite hilarious and reminded me how much I like 'that 70's style'. One of my favourite films is Almost Famous, both for the soundtrack and the wardrobe. Kate Hudson's character Penny Lane's style is incredible!

Fashion Houses like Missoni and ChloĆ© have long had a 70's vibe. Now everyone has caught on and 70's style has arrived for spring summer '11. I can't wait to try out an updated version of the this trend.
The 70's was the era where anything goes. Mini, midi or maxi skirts, bellbottoms and flares, culottes and hotpants, halterneck jumpsuits, kimonos, gypsy tops, crochet knits. All accessorised with chunky platforms and headbands!
The modern take on 70's style is less boho hippie and more glam.... for an everyday updated look integrate one or two key pieces into your outfit!
