Holidays

I'm off on my holidays tomorrow for the next two weeks to Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. I'm so excited, hopefully I'm going to take lots of pretty photos to show you. Really looking forward to seeing the ancient pyramids and going on a trip down the Nile. As well as plenty of sunbathing and drinking cocktails!

A Bliché?

A bliché = fashion blogger cliché :) ha ha...  I love all these items below but it seems that nearly every fashion blogger out there either owns or covets one or more of these pieces. Don't get me wrong, if I was offered the chance to own anyone of them I wouldn't think twice. Sometimes it just bothers me when everyone has the same clothes and accessories. It kind of detracts from individual personal style don't ya think? I suppose we can all style them in a way that makes our way of wearing them unique!

Blushing Bride

Kim Kardashian will be heading down the aisle to marry her fiancé Kris Humphries soon and I am dying to see the dress. It's been speculated widely that she will wear a custom made Vera Wang on her special day and no doubt about it, she will look stunning! Since all the excitement over the royal wedding, and the perfect bride Kate Middleton and The Dress, I've become more interested in wedding dress styles. Some really take your breath away. Below are a few of my favourites that i've come across. All of which I think would look fabulous on Kim. My guess is that she will wear a gown that is pretty figure hugging but nevertheless it will be so interesting to see what she'll wear.

Leopard Love



I honestly think these are the most beautiful shoes I've ever seen in my life! Why do they have to be so expensive, at 726 euro they are far far beyond my budget. Still enjoyable to look at them :)

Seaside

My favourite place to be is beside the sea. I'm very lucky that I live right near a gorgeous beach.
Last Sunday was a beautiful sunny day here, so we decided to go the seaside for the day. I wish we had more days like this in Ireland. Our summer is so unpredictable that I can't even wear my summer wardrobe most days. That's why I'm looking forward to going to Egypt, I'll get to wear all the clothes that are hidden at the back of my closet. 

I'm going shopping on Saturday to pick up some new bikinis. I hope there are still some nice ones left in the shops!

I've long been a fan of Alicia Silverstone, Clueless being my favourite film as a child. More recently I've been admiring her lifestyle choices and how she uses her status to encourage the world to become more aware of how we treat planet Earth and it's inhabitants. She is a dedicated animal rights and enviromental activist and her website the kind life is a guide on how to live life to the fullest while "taking care of Mama Earth" She writes on everything from eco-friendly fashion, to delicious healthy recipes.

I'm an animal lover yet I occasionally eat meat. This has never quite sat right with me either and I found it interesting to read that Alicia herself similarly struggled with this, eventually becoming vegan in 1998. I've dabbled in vegetarianism but always went back to eating meat.

I don't think I could ever become fully vegan but I'm certainly interested how I can adapt my lifestyle  to be more in line with this way of living. At the very least I always strive to be aware of where the food I consume comes from.

I believe your body will thank you for it!
