Leopard Love

I honestly think these are the most beautiful shoes I've ever seen in my life! Why do they have to be so expensive, at 726 euro they are far far beyond my budget. Still enjoyable to look at them :)

Seaside

My favourite place to be is beside the sea. I'm very lucky that I live right near a gorgeous beach.
Last Sunday was a beautiful sunny day here, so we decided to go the seaside for the day. I wish we had more days like this in Ireland. Our summer is so unpredictable that I can't even wear my summer wardrobe most days. That's why I'm looking forward to going to Egypt, I'll get to wear all the clothes that are hidden at the back of my closet.
I'm going shopping on Saturday to pick up some new bikinis. I hope there are still some nice ones left in the shops!

Wednesday's wish

Stella Mc Cartney £95

I would wear this now with cut off denim shorts and in winter with leather skinnies and a black tuxedo jacket.

www. du jour

I've long been a fan of Alicia Silverstone, Clueless being my favourite film as a child. More recently I've been admiring her lifestyle choices and how she uses her status to encourage the world to become more aware of how we treat planet Earth and it's inhabitants. She is a dedicated animal rights and enviromental activist and her website the kind life is a guide on how to live life to the fullest while "taking care of Mama Earth" She writes on everything from eco-friendly fashion, to delicious healthy recipes.

I'm an animal lover yet I occasionally eat meat. This has never quite sat right with me either and I found it interesting to read that Alicia herself similarly struggled with this, eventually becoming vegan in 1998. I've dabbled in vegetarianism but always went back to eating meat.

I don't think I could ever become fully vegan but I'm certainly interested how I can adapt my lifestyle  to be more in line with this way of living. At the very least I always strive to be aware of where the food I consume comes from.
I believe your body will thank you for it!

Celine Fall 2011

Autumn / winter clothes are starting to appear on the highstreet already. This is slightly crazy, come on it's July! Nevertheless I'm starting to get slightly excited for updating my winter wardrobe. I've been checking out the collections. Loving Celine.

Here are my picks:

Pay Day

This month has been 5 weeks long! To make matters worse, I've strictly adhered to a spending ban for the month of July, I've bought nothing fun or fashionable, no meals out, no going out, no being frivolous with my money. Reason being I'm going on holiday to Egypt in August for 2 weeks and I want to be able to shop over there and I also just booked flights to New York for December, so I'm pretty much cleaned out. boohoo. I shouldn't complain as I've lots to look forward to but it has been a long month and i'm looking forward to this months payday so I can treat myself ( just a little!)

First stop will be Topshop for these booties beauties:

she wore a lemon, but never in the daylight

I still can't believe this dress is from Penneys (Primark)! I haven't seen it in any of my local stores all summer, if I do i'll definitely be buying it. I love everything about it. The shape, the length, the colours, the print! AMAZING!

www. du jour

I've always wanted to know the beauty secrets of a celebrity so I was delighted when I discovered this little gem. Everyone should check out this website thebeautydepartment.com . Written by style icon Lauren Conrad, along with her own make up artist Amy Nadine and her hairdresser ( I think) Kristin Ess, these three professionals give us advice and tips on everything from hair tutorials to makeup lessons. I especially love the 'Kitchen Beautician ' where Lauren writes about D.I.Y beauty treatments.

Enjoy x

happy hour

What made me happy today

  • Going to the beach with my dog.
  • Yummy breakfast with fresh fruit and my morning cup of tea.
  • Adjusting (finally to my balayage hair colour which I got done 1 month ago, I was inspired by these pics, it has taken a while to get used to.

Scentastic

My favourite scent in the whole wide world is the smell of freshly washed laundry! It's not unusual for me to wash my clothes( even clean ones) only to hang them on the radiators so my house smells like fresh clean cotton detergent heaven. This means more ironing ..... which is my least favourite chore. I'm a weirdo i know.
So unsurprisingly i LOVE my Yankee Candle in the scent of clean cotton! They smell amazing and the fragrance lasts really well in your room. They have a huge range of scents, shapes and sizes to choose from. They are a little bit more pricey than run of the mill scented candles but well worth it. I got mine from www.yankee.ie
